After Barcelona beat the French side 3-2 in the quarter-final first leg, the Parisian club pulled off an incredible comeback as they ran out 4-1 winners in the return fixture. Before the tie, the PSG coach gave his assessment of the Catalans.

The 54-year-old has deep ties to the Blaugrana, having spent eight years there as a player and then taking over as head coach in 2014 until 2017. However, that did not stop him from going in hard on his old team, then coached by legendary midfielder Xavi.

“Barca are not a dominant team and they are not a defensively good team," he said in a new documentary series titled . "They have no defensive quality. They play long balls. [Marc-Andre] Ter Stegen broke the record for long passes. They play like Eibar."
