Everton have done some exciting business over the course of the last two decades or so!
Everton are without a doubt one of the most ambitious team around in the Premier League outside of the so-called big six.
They might not quite have the spending power of newly rich Newcastle United, but they have spent big in the past in an attempt to challenge the traditional big guns.
Everton have had some great players representing them over the course of the last two decades or so, with Wayne Rooney and Romelu Lukaku among others wearing the iconic blue jersey.
The Toffees' main problem, however, has been that their biggest stars all expressed a desire to move to an English top club at some point.
But although that will have hurt their ambitions on the pitch, it did make them plenty of cash since the turn of the century.
Who are their most expensive player sales, though, and how do their transfer dealings look on a season by season basis?

Everton top 10 most expensive player salesGetty Images10Nikola Vlasic | £20.70m | CSKA Moscow | 2019
Vlasic joined Everton from Croatian club Hajduk Split for a fee of £9.72 million in the summer of 2017.
The attacking midfielder signed a five-year contract in 2017 and scored his first goal for the club on his debut at Goodison Park on September 28 in a 2-2 draw against Apollon Limassol in the Europa League.
After just making 19 appearances in all competitions, Vlasic was told by newly appointed coach Marco Silva that he was not part of his plans.
He was loaned to CSKA Moscow for the 2018-19 season before being sold for £20.70m to the Russian club.
In 2021, West Ham signed him for £27m before sending him on loan to Torino in the summer of 2022.

After graduating from Wolves' youth academy, Lescott made 212 appearances for their senior team between 2000 and 2006 before joining Everton for £5.85 million in the summer of 2006.
After over 100 appearances in three years at the club, Manchester City attempted to sign Lescott, with Everton publicly rejecting two offers.
The defender then submitted a written transfer request in August 2009 that was also rejected by the club.
But, the saga came to an end on August 25 when Lescott joined Manchester City for £24.75m, making him their second-most expensive sale at that time after Wayne Rooney.

After coming through the ranks at Juventus' academy, Kean made his senior debut for the club at the age of 16 years and 265 days making him the club's youngest every player to feature for the first team.
In May 2017, Kean scored his first goal for the club, making him the first player born in the 2000s to score a goal in one of Europe's top five leagues.
Later that summer, he was loaned to Verona for a season before returning back to Juve in 2018.
In 2019, Everton came calling, signing him for £24.75 million, but he was sent to PSG on loan after just one season at the Goodison Park.
After returning to the club in the 2021-22 season, Everton loaned him back to Juventus for two years with an obligation to buy him in the summer of 2023 for £27m.

After impressing at Aston Villa in the 2015-16 season where they were relegated, Everton decided to sign Gueye for £7.65 million in the summer of 2016 by triggering a release clause in his contract.
The defensive midfielder was a revelation at Everton, making the highest number of successful tackles and interceptions per match across Europe's top five leagues in the 2016 calendar year.
In January 2019, PSG tabled a bid, but Everton rejected the offer for Gueye, something which did not affect the Senegalese star's performance at all.
However, later that year, Everton received a £27m offer from PSG, which they couldn't reject this time around.
