da winzada777: Daniel Sturridge cut a frustrated figure last night as two gilt-edged chances passed him by in the EFL Cup semi-final against Southampton, which saw Claude Puel’s side eventually progress to Wembley with a 2-0 aggregate win.
da heads bet: But it could have been much different if Sturridge converted his close-range opportunities in the second half and inevitably, plenty of criticism has been thrown the England international’s way since the full-time whistle.

Jamie Carragher believes Sturridge isn’t the player he was upon arriving at Anfield in January 2013, even claiming it’s like Liverpool are playing with ten men when he doesn’t find the net.
And although none of Liverpool’s players were at their best last night, Sturridge’s performance did epitomise how he’s notably regressed since Jurgen Klopp took charge at Anfield, struggling not only for goals but perhaps more crucially game-time.
There seems to be some sort of long-term, fundamental disagreement between the two and considering his form has been far from fantastic this season, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him leave Merseyside come the end of the campaign.
But rather than pass judgement, we’re keen to hear the opinions of the Liverpool fan-base. Let us know whether you think the Reds should sell Sturridge by voting in the poll below…
